Welcome to the Women’s Section of Silverstone Golf Club. Whether you’re new to golf or a seasoned player, our golf community is here to support and inspire women of all skill levels. Join us for friendly competition, social events, coaching, and much more in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Ladies Captain Welcome:
It is a pleasure to welcome all our members, especially those joining us for the first time, as we look forward to another enjoyable golf season. In my role as Ladies Captain this year, Hilary Williams, I am delighted to build on the hard work and achievements of previous captains in supporting our Women in Golf commitments and helping the women’s section continue to grow and flourish, with ongoing support of our dedicated Ladies’ Committee.
Taking on Ladies’ Captain responsibilities this year, I am also proud to support Cynthia Spencer Hospice, a wonderful local charity that provides vital care and support to those who need it most.
I hope the season ahead brings good golf, new friendships, and plenty of memorable moments both on and off the course. Here’s to a successful and enjoyable golf year for everyone.

What We Offer:
Competitions & Events
Join our regular Tuesday competitions, mixed weekend competitions and special club tournaments. Thursday social golf offers a fun, engaging and welcoming way to enjoy the game in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
We organise friendly matches and interclub events to suit all abilities. We also take part in National and County Fixtures, giving members the opportunity to represent the club and enjoy competitive golf at other venues.
Captain’s Week in mid - June features a full week of exciting ladies’ competitions, from the Lady Captain’s Cup to the Rosebowl, with a warm welcome to all members to come along and join in the fun. The Ladies Open in July is one of the highlights of our golf season, welcoming visitors from other clubs to enjoy friendly competition, great prizes and a wonderful day of golf and hospitality.
Social Activities
Stay connected with coffee mornings, charity fundraisers, away days, and casual get-togethers designed to build friendships beyond the fairway.
Coaching & Development
New to golf? Our Pro Rodney Holt and PGA Trainee Professional Scott Fleming offer coaching sessions and beginner-friendly programmes and Women’s Academy that help you gain confidence and develop your skills with supportive instruction.

We fully support the Women in Golf Charter, and we are committed to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all women members. We are proud to share our commitments at the Silverstone Golf Club.

Latest news: July 2026
Well, we certainly are experiencing some warm weather! However, the golf continues with several Trophies competitions being played throughout June and into July.
Our Over-70’s Trophy was won by Mary Forman, the Lady Captain’s Cup was won by Susan Gray with Birg Wilson winning the Plate. Janet Bond won the Rosebowl with a magnificent 40 points! Well played to all those Ladies.
Well played also to Eloise Feely and Sue Kitchen who won the Ladies Championship best gross and best nett score respectively. There was, however, a disappointingly low number taking part, hopefully next year we will have more entrants.
We played our second friendly of the season against Brampton Heath – well, we tried anyway, but after a deluge which left the greens underwater in 10 minutes flat, we had to abandon the match. Our third friendly against Bletchley we won 3-0.
During Grand Prix fortnight, we were invited by the Cherwell Ladies to join them in one of their weekly roll-ups. We were made to feel most welcome and had a very enjoyable round with them.
Unfortunately, we were unable to play the scheduled NGL Charity Medal on the 9th July, partly because of the unsurety of whether or not the course would be open and mainly because of the high outdoor temperature which led to most ladies withdrawing. We are hoping to re-schedule later in the season.
We held our annual Open on the 21st July. A total of 18 teams took part, including visitors representing 17 other clubs. It really is “an Open” with our visiting players outnumbering our home players 2-1! It was a most successful event with the bonus of raising over £600 for my charity.
Keep well hydrated in all this hot weather and enjoy your golf!
